What is Shades of the Season?

We make holiday nutcrackers that reflect the shades our own families come in. Each King is hand-painted in a rich brown skin tone, with curly hair and a full beard instead of the traditional white hair and mustache — designed by a Black husband and white wife who couldn't find décor that looked like their own family.

What makes these different from other nutcrackers I've seen?

Most "diverse" nutcrackers on the market are just a white design with the skin tone swapped. Ours are different from the ground up — skin tone, hair texture, and facial hair are all part of the design, not an afterthought.

Are you taking orders right now?

Not yet — we're building our early access list before the Collection opens. Join the waitlist and we'll email you the moment it's available.

What do I get for joining the waitlist?

Early access before the general public, plus a limited-time discount on individual Kings for our first wave of subscribers.

Can I buy the Kings individually, or only as a set?

Both. Each King — Walnut, Maple, and Mahogany — is available on its own, or as the Three Kings Collection, which is priced better than buying all three separately.

How big are they?

Each King stands 15 inches tall, hand-painted with careful attention to skin tone, hair texture, and detail.

When will you ship?

We begin shipping in late September 2026 — in plenty of time for the holidays. Join the waitlist and we'll email you as soon as your order is on its way.

What's your return and refund policy?

All sales are final, and we're unable to offer exchanges for an incorrect shade ordered — please double-check your selection before checking out. If your order arrives damaged or defective, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we'll send a replacement.

Will there be new designs or shades in the future?

We're just getting started — join our email list to be the first to hear what's next.

Do you sell wholesale?

Right now we sell directly through our own site and at pop-up holiday markets in the Houston area. Wholesale will be available in 2027. Please reach out if you're interested in wholesale opportunities.
